Contracts Attorney

Temporary/Contract Contracts Attorney Location: Portland, OR & Hybrid Duration: 3 months (potential extension) Start: ASAP Overview: We’re seeking a Contracts Attorney to support a high-volume workload on a temporary basis. This role partners closely with internal teams to deliver practical legal guidance, manage contract risk, and keep contract agreements moving efficiently. Responsibilities: · Review, draft, and negotiate contracts (vendor agreements, NDAs, RFPs, service and license agreements, purchase orders). · Advise Contract Owners on contract strategy, risk, and compliance. · Identify and resolve legal issues, escalating to Senior Corporate Counsel as needed. · Support projects with clear, business-focused legal solutions. · Ensure proper handling of sensitive data and confidentiality requirements. · Collaborate across teams to drive contracts to completion. · Support contract systems (NetSuite, SharePoint, DocuSign) and ensure data accuracy. Qualifications: · JD required; 3–5+ years in contracts/transactional/corporate law. · Oregon State Bar membership or ability to obtain promptly. · Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. · Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. · Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with contract systems a plus.
