Position:Paralegal in Bankruptcy, Foreclosures, and Creditors’ Rights. About our Client:Our Premier Client is a multi-practice, mid-sized law firm located in downtown Portland.We are seeking an experienced Paralegal for our Clients growing Creditors’ Rights and commercial practice groups. Your Role:You will be responsible for assisting attorneys with bankruptcies, foreclosures, collections and related legal matters. Primary duties will include assisting attorneys in the preparation, filing and processing of pleadings, motions, and other related documents. Your expertise will ensure timely and accurate handling of collections and creditors’ rights proceedings, including judgments, bankruptcies, and foreclosures while conducting comprehensive document reviews to ensure legal compliance and accuracy. As a paralegal, you will also provide guidance and direction to an assigned legal assistant and/or administrative support for support and work assignments delegated for their completion. This role requires a strong understanding of the legal proceedings, compliance requirements, and financial systems. Salary & Compensation: $73k-$85k/Yr, DOEThis is a full-time salaried, non-exempt, Monday – Friday position. What you’ll need to bring to the table:Three years of experience as paralegal in bankruptcy, foreclosures or collections.Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac foreclosure process and reporting.Training or education in a certified paralegal program.Have a Client service approach.Be detail oriented and have great interpersonal skills to work in a team oriented and collaborative & colligative environment.Have strong time management skills.The ideal candidate would be an experienced professional in foreclosure and bankruptcy, with great attention to detail, and the ability to exhibit sound judgment and decision makingRequires experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy, foreclosure, legal, or collections environmentKnowledge of Oregon and Washington court procedures and rules a must.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software required to manage the practice.You must be well organized, ability to prioritize multiple tasks with efficiency and resourcefulness.Have the ability to work independently yet collaboratively, exercising sound judgement and discretion.Must have a high degree of accuracy in performing tasks and responsibilities.
