Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service / Technical Sales Manager to support our growing customer base. This role requires someone who can combine strong interpersonal skills with technical aptitude to provide responsive, professional service and application support.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing complex customer conversations, supporting both day-to-day interactions and in-person customer visits when needed, while helping customers identify the appropriate product solutions for their applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order management, and product related questions.
• Provide technical guidance to customers regarding product selection, specifications, and application suitability.
• Process and track customer orders using our ERP system and internal tools.
• Communicate professionally via email, phone, and video calls.
• Proactively follow up on open orders, shipment statuses, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Engineering, Shipping, and Sales to ensure on-time, accurate fulfillment.
• Investigate and resolve order discrepancies, returns, or complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Participate in occasional customer site visits or virtual meetings to support technical discussions and account management.
• Assist with customer reports, forecasts, and ongoing account management.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, orders, and service issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and internal process efficiency.
• Coordinate and administer licensing activities in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical customer support, including reviewing customer drawings or schematics and helping apply the appropriate available product solution.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of customer service, technical sales, or account management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a customer-first mindset.
Preferred Skills
• Familiarity with supply chain, inventory, or logistics processes.
• Experience managing B2B customer accounts, particularly OEM or distributor relationships.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets, using formulas, and organizing data for reporting and analysis.
• Experience working with electrical components, connectors, or similar industrial products.
