Job Details: Mechanical Field Technician – Cooling Towers Installation & Commissioning (Hands-On Required) Location: Greater San Antonio, Texas Pay: $25–$33/hr + Overtime + Benefits + Vehicle This role requires direct, hands-on installation AND commissioning experience on cooling tower systems. Candidates without field installation and startup experience on cooling towers will not be considered. Work Scope Field-based mechanical work on active cooling tower systems across industrial and commercial sites. • Install cooling tower structures, casing, fill, drift eliminators, fan stacks • Install and set motors, gearboxes, drive shafts, bearings, couplings • Perform alignment of fans, shafts, and rotating assemblies • Execute tower rebuilds, retrofits, and mechanical repairs • Assist with VFD integration and motor terminations • Start up and commission cooling tower systems post-install/rebuild • Diagnose and correct mechanical issues during commissioning • Work at elevation and travel between job sites Required Experience (Non-Negotiable) • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card • Hands-on installation AND commissioning of cooling towers • Minimum 2+ years field experience in cooling towers, millwright work, or industrial mechanical construction • Direct experience with rotating equipment (fans, drives, motors) • Working knowledge of VFD-driven systems in the field • Ability to read and execute mechanical drawings • Valid driver’s license Email your Resume to View email address on libertyjobs.com and let's find time to talk. #asscotiate #fieldtechnician #LI-RI1
