Job Description
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Schedule: Monday through Friday (Overtime available on Saturdays and Sundays) Job Overview The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal components according to engineering specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Key Responsibilities • Machine Setup: Configure press brake machines by selecting tooling, installing dies, and programming parameters based on job requirements. • Material Handling: Load, align, and secure metal materials to ensure accurate processing. • Machine Operation: Operate equipment to bend and form metal parts in accordance with blueprints and production orders. • Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications; make adjustments as needed. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with machine performance, tooling, or materials. • Measurement & Documentation: Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and maintain production records. • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe machine operation. • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to meet production and quality goals. Qualifications • Prior experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in metal fabrication • Strong knowledge of press brake setup, tooling, and programming • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments • High attention to detail and commitment to quality • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks Work Environment & Physical Requirements • Prolonged standing and repetitive motion • Frequent lifting and handling of heavy materials • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise • Strict adherence to safety protocols required
