Job Description
Join our team in a fast-paced Warehouse Mechanical Repair role focused on Lime Scooters and Bikes. We are currently seeking dedicated In-warehouse Mechanics to ensure the upkeep of our fleet of shared vehicles. If you have a knack for mechanics and a passion for maintaining vehicles, this position is perfect for you!
What you'll do: • Conduct quality checks to ensure our fleet is road-ready and compliant with operational standards. • Perform essential maintenance within the warehouse environment. • Adhere to safety procedures to guarantee riders are provided with the safest vehicles. • Assist with battery management operations by keeping detailed records and performing quality inspections. • Uphold safety and hygiene standards while working in the warehouse. • Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing maintenance tasks. • Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart as required. • Manage parts inventory effectively, monitoring PAR levels and demand forecasts. • Demonstrate safe riding practices on bikes, cargo bikes, or e-scooters for deployment and retrieval purposes within the local market as needed. • Take on additional job-related tasks as assigned.
About you: • You have prior experience in a similar vehicle maintenance role (preferred). • You are physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs regularly. • You possess strong problem-solving skills and can complete repairs swiftly and accurately. • You are self-motivated and can work independently with little guidance. • Your organizational skills are top-notch, enabling you to manage daily responsibilities effectively. • You maintain a safety-first mindset, capable of performing rigorous quality checks. • You have excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members. • You are comfortable riding bikes and other Lime vehicles.
Attendance Policy: • You're allowed to clock in up to 5 minutes before and after your shift begins. While we understand emergencies arise, missing more than 10% of your scheduled hours may lead to disciplinary actions. Please provide at least 2 weeks' notice for non-emergency absences and necessary documentation for any excused absences.
General Requirements:
As part of the Bluecrew team, you may engage in various activities, including: • Working both independently or collaboratively to pick, pack, and ship items. • Safely moving or repacking inventory items, frequently up to 50 pounds. • Operating machinery and light equipment safely as instructed. • Engaging in physical activities like reaching, crouching, and bending as required. • Standing for your entire shift and maintaining a brisk pace. • Working in an environment featuring forklifts, machinery, and warehouse equipment. • Wearing close-toed shoes and pants as part of the standard dress code.
