Job Title: CNC Operator - 2nd shift ($15-$17 per hour) Location: Wetumpka Job Type: Full-time Shift: 2nd shift Pay Range: $15-$17 per hour Position Summary: The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machining centers to produce precision components that meet quality, safety, and production standards. This role requires the ability to set up, monitor, and maintain machining operations while ensuring compliance with work instructions, drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Operate CNC milling and/or turning machines according to established procedures • Perform part changeovers, tool changes, and basic machine setup as required • Load raw materials, fixtures, and remove finished parts from machines • Read and interpret blueprints, job routers, work instructions, and inspection criteria • Measure parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) • Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications • Make minor offset adjustments to maintain part quality • Monitor machine performance and report issues to supervision or maintenance • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures • Work effectively with team members, leads, and support departments to meet production goals Qualifications and Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Prior CNC machining experience preferred (milling and/or turning) • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T preferred • Experience using precision measuring tools • Basic understanding of machining principles and materials • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment • Strong attendance and reliability Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs. throughout the shift • Manual dexterity to handle tools, parts, and measurement equipment • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial conditions Preferred Experience: • Experience in precision manufacturing or regulated industries • Familiarity with SPC, ISO, or quality management systems • Experience performing in‑process inspections Work Environment: • Climate‑controlled manufacturing facility • Team‑oriented production environment • Emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement What We Offer: Competitive compensation based on experience Stable, full-time position with growth potential Supportive team environment Opportunity to expand responsibilities and skills BENEFITS OFFERED!
