Job Description
A Wiring Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components and systems used in machine vision equipment (like inspection cameras, sensors, and automated systems). This role ensures all electrical connections are safe, accurate, and meet design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Cut, strip, label, and route wires for control panels and systems.
• Assemble and wire: Cameras and lighting systems. Sensors and actuators, PLC panels and control boxes.
• Install connectors, terminals, and cable harnesses.
• Perform point-to-point wiring and cable management.
• Test and troubleshoot wiring for continuity and proper function.
• Assist engineers with system setup and debugging
Required Skills
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and low-voltage wiring.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with tools like: Wire strippers/crimpers, Multimeter, Soldering iron (sometimes required).
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good manual dexterity (fine wiring work)
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of wiring or electrical assembly experience.
• Experience in automation, robotics, or machine vision is a plus.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
