Job Description
## About the Company
Our client is a top-tier construction subcontractor with a strong reputation across the Southeast. While widely recognized for excellence in drywall and interior systems, the company’s capabilities extend well beyond that — including acoustical ceilings, masonry, and the in-house manufacturing of doors and hardware. Employee-owned through an ESOP, the organization combines the stability of a well-established contractor with the entrepreneurial mindset of a growth-focused platform. Safety, quality, and people-first leadership are central to how they operate.
## About the Position
The Regional Vice President of Operations will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for multiple offices, with responsibility for operations in Charlotte and Raleigh. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction leader who deeply understands labor management, large-scale field installation challenges, and the realities of running complex projects across multiple markets. Beyond operational execution, the position requires a leader who can mentor, motivate, and develop field and office teams, driving performance while maintaining a strong culture of accountability, safety, and respect.
You will be responsible for overseeing regional operations, including project execution, labor strategy, scheduling, and productivity. The role involves leading and developing project teams, superintendents, and operational leaders, ensuring consistent performance across multiple offices and job sites, and partnering with executive leadership on growth strategy, forecasting, and resource planning. Maintaining strong client relationships while driving operational excellence is central to success in this role.
Who will thrive here is someone with proven senior leadership experience in construction operations, ideally within drywall or large-scale interior systems. A deep understanding of labor management, workforce planning, and field installation challenges is essential. Experience managing multiple offices or regions, a strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable, and financial and operational acumen (including budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics) are all called for. Candidates must have a willingness to be based in Charlotte, NC, with regional travel as needed.
Compensation and participation details are clear: Highly competitive compensation with a $250,000-$260,000 base salary, 20–30% annual bonus potential, ESOP participation (employee ownership), and an executive-level benefits package. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role within a respected, growth-oriented organization.
