Pay: $36.00 - $51.00 per hour
We are hiring an experienced Tool & Die Designer II to design and develop tooling that supports manufacturing operations. This role focuses on tool and die design, collaboration with production teams, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
Responsibilities of the Tool Designer: • Design tool and die concepts, progressive dies, fixtures, and punch press tooling • Create 3D models, blueprints, and flat blank geometry using SolidWorks • Build and test prototypes; modify designs based on results and feedback • Review customer drawings, CAD files, and RFQs • Collaborate with Engineering, Toolroom, Quality, and Manufacturing teams • Support manufacturing processes including machining, stamping, and laser cutting • Manage tooling projects, timelines, and documentation
Qualifications of a Tool Designer: • 5–7 years of tool & die design experience in manufacturing • Proficient in SolidWorks • Strong knowledge of tooling, materials, and manufacturing processes • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T
Education of a Tool Designer: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred • Or technical degree / equivalent experience
Experience: • Metal Stamping: 3 years (Required)
