Contract $61.57/hr - $61.57/hr

Our client, a leader in Retail, is seeking a contract Enterprise Learning Design Specialist. This is an onsite role in San Francisco, CA.

Contract duration: 10 weeks (w/possible extension)

This role is responsible for the rapid end-to-end development of learning solutions that drive performance across the organization. Acting as a centralized resource, the Specialist will translate complex business requirements into scalable digital, self-paced, and instructor-led assets. We are looking for a high-output, technical designer who utilizes modern AI-assisted workflows to deliver quality content at speed.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Enterprise Content Development: Design and deploy high-impact learning experiences (LX) across various modalities to support enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-functional projects. • Agile Project Execution: Manage the full instructional design lifecycle (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) within 10-week contract. • AI-Optimized Workflow: Proactively use Gemini and other generative AI tools to accelerate the content development cycle, including prototyping, storyboarding, and content creation. • Performance Support: Create comprehensive facilitator guides, and just-in-time performance support tools to ensure successful implementation. • Visual Identity & Media: Utilize digital design tools to create branded visual assets and multimedia components that align with company's enterprise aesthetic.

Required skills: • Experience: Bachelors degree and 3-5 years of Instructional Design experience focused on diverse adult learning audiences in a corporate environment. • Design Expertise: Proven track record of building and assessing asynchronous and synchronous virtual, facilitated, and self-paced training as a lead developer. • L&D Tech Stack: Mastery of course authoring tools required: Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise), Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud. • AI Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to use AI for prompt engineering to streamline instructional design tasks, such as content chunking, assessment generation, and narrative development. • Technical Writing: Strong ability to write effective instructional text, storyboards, and scripts with a focus on clarity and brevity. • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets to analyze training data and iterate on content based on performance metrics. • Autonomy: Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple project streams against firm deadlines.

Preferred Skills: • AI & Gemini Proficiency: Advanced experience using Gemini for prompt engineering. • Google AI Native Tools: Expertise in leveraging the Google AI ecosystem (including AI features within Google Workspace) to enhance collaborative design, automate administrative workflows, and accelerate content drafting. • Digital Fluency: Early adopter of emerging L&D technologies with a track record of implementing AI-driven efficiencies in the design process.
