We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee financial operations in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves preparing accurate financial statements, managing a small accounting team, and ensuring compliance with established accounting principles. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership.Responsibilities:• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).• Manage and approve both manual and automated journal entries to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.• Supervise and mentor a team accounting professionals while overseeing daily accounting operations.• Collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc analyses.• Conduct thorough reviews of balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and documenting findings.• Support the development and implementation of internal controls and process improvements to enhance efficiency.• Handle additional accounting tasks and participate in special projects as assigned.
