Job Description
Seeking a FT Machine Shop Helper for an aerospace manufacturer.
Job Duties
• Follow directions for the handling and disposing of hazardous wastes, such as toner, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, auto parts cleaner, and similar material
• Clean the shop equipment and work area as instructed
• Participate in organization of shop tools and parts
• Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment
• Remove and maintain chips from machining operations until recycled
• Ensure solids scrap bins are properly identified and monitored
• Move and stage materials & supplies
• Clean up shavings from machine areas
• Move raw and scrap materials, finished products and equipment throughout the facility
• Perform necessary housekeeping activities, this includes, but is not limited to, the picking up of all debris that results from production activities, this includes proper storage of all materials and equipment when they are not in use as well as all other materials which may be offensive or hazardous
• Work with Machine operators loading parts into machinery
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane moving parts only as directed and trained
• Deliver parts and or materials to work areas as required
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
• Able to read and interpret job orders and other documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manual
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum 50 Lbs.
Hours
• First Shift: Mon. - Thurs., 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Second Shift: Mon. - Fri., 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
• Third Shift: Mon. - Fri., 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
• Weekend Shift Day: Fri., Sat., Sun., 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Weekend Night: Fri., Sat., Sun., 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
