Job Description

The Department of Physics and Astronomy, College of Arts and Sciences, of Texas A&M University invites applications for an eminent faculty member with cross-over in the areas of quantum optics and condensed matter physics. This full-time tenured professor position with specialization in AMO and condensed matter will i have a nine-month academic appointment beginning January 5, 2026. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Professor.

The successful candidate will teach a full load of graduate and undergraduate courses, establish a vigorous, independent research program that will attract external funding, and contribute to the service mission of the department.

Earned PhD in physics; strong record of publication and external funding; specialization in quantum optics and condensed matter physics are required.
