Location: Plano, TX
Employment Type: Contract (6–10 Weeks)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Flexible (Must be available to work onsite in Plano as needed)
Compensation: $45.00–$60.00 per hour
Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Interim Talent Acquisition Director for a 6–10 week contract opportunity supporting a healthcare organization. This leadership role will oversee full-cycle recruitment operations, workforce planning, and talent acquisition strategy for clinical and corporate hiring while partnering with executive leadership, HR, and hiring managers.
The ideal candidate has extensive healthcare recruiting leadership experience, including post-acute care, skilled nursing, behavioral health, home health, or hospital recruiting, with a proven ability to lead recruiting teams and improve hiring processes.
Key Responsibilities • Lead full-cycle recruitment for clinical, corporate, and leadership positions. • Partner with executives and hiring managers on workforce planning and recruiting strategy. • Coach and support recruiters while driving hiring goals and service levels. • Develop sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for critical healthcare roles. • Recruit healthcare professionals including RNs, LVNs/LPNs, Therapists, Behavioral Health, and corporate staff. • Manage ATS processes, recruiting metrics, reporting, and compliance. • Monitor recruiting KPIs and recommend process improvements. • Support offer negotiations, onboarding, and an exceptional candidate experience. • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company hiring policies.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. • 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including healthcare recruiting. • Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring recruiters. • Experience recruiting both clinical and corporate healthcare positions. • Strong knowledge of workforce planning, sourcing strategies, and recruiting operations. • Proficiency with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience recruiting for post-acute care, skilled nursing, behavioral health, home health, or hospital systems. • Agency recruiting experience. • Multi-site healthcare recruiting experience.
