Job Title: Warehouse Associate – Order Processing
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr Duration: 18 Months (contract +ext) Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 5:45 AM – 6:00 PM | Rotating schedule (2 on / 2 off / 3 on) Location: Indianapolis, IN 46221
Job Summary
This role supports warehouse order processing operations, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving materials. The position involves working with a warehouse management system (WMS) to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working a rotating 12-hour schedule in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders using a warehouse management system (WMS) • Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and products • Accurately enter receipts and inventory data into the system • Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities • Process materials for disposal or destruction when required • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment • Follow all workplace safety procedures and operational guidelines • Support overall warehouse productivity and team operations
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required • Prior warehouse experience preferred, including shipping, receiving, picking, or packing • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience or willingness to obtain certification • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to follow safety procedures and compliance standards • Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled rotating shifts
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
• Warehouse environment with moderate to fast-paced activity • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift • Material handling and use of warehouse equipment • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts consistently • Adherence to strict safety and compliance standards
