Job Description
Corporate Legal Assistant
A well-established Dallas law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant to join its growing Corporate/Finance practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting complex corporate and commercial transactions.
Responsibilities: • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in the Corporate/Finance practice group. • Assist with corporate transactions, including closings, mergers, acquisitions, and other commercial matters. • Manage attorney calendars and track critical deadlines. • Schedule meetings and coordinate client communications. • Prepare and distribute documents for electronic signature using DocuSign. • Track transactions and maintain deal files. • Prepare closing documents, signature packets, and closing binders. • Coordinate Secretary of State filings and corporate searches. • Order corporate certificates and other required documentation. • Provide additional administrative support as needed.
Qualifications: • 3?5 years of corporate or finance legal assistant experience in a law firm. • Strong knowledge of corporate transactions, financing matters, and related procedures. • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, closings, and other commercial transactions. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Strong communication skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and DocuSign is preferred.
