Job Description High Profile is partnering with our Property Management client to identify a hands-on, Part-Time Controller (to start 30-40 hours/month) who will take ownership of the accounting function for a growing real estate investment and property management platform. As this firm grows, this person will be brought on permanently. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys both the tactical and strategic aspects of accounting and finance and wants to play a key role in a company's growth trajectory. This position offers direct exposure to leadership and the opportunity to influence financial operations, budgeting, acquisitions, and process improvements while helping scale a growing real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, and enjoys building systems and processes.

What You'll Do • Own the full month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting • Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy across multiple entities and properties • Reconcile operating and escrow accounts while monitoring cash flow and liquidity • Prepare weekly cash flow reports and assist leadership with forecasting and financial planning • Oversee accounts payable, vendor management, payment processing, and year-end 1099 preparation • Coordinate payroll processing, labor allocations, benefits deductions, and payroll reporting • Produce monthly financial packages including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, variance analysis, and supporting commentary • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting initiatives • Support acquisition due diligence, financial analysis, onboarding of new assets, and post-acquisition integration • Serve as a key contact for audits, lender reporting, investor reporting, and compliance reviews • Act as the internal accounting systems expert and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting capabilities • Partner closely with operations teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting Culture & Environment • Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented organization • Direct interaction with ownership and executive leadership • Opportunity to influence strategy and operational decision-making • Collaborative environment where team members wear multiple hats
