Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. This role is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting accurate financial statements and supporting documentation to meet internal and external reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory frameworks, and financial reporting best practices. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or relevant accounting standards. • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies. • Support the consolidation process for multiple business entities and ensure proper elimination entries. • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and prepare commentary for management review. • Assist with the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and other compliance requirements as applicable. • Coordinate with auditors for quarterly reviews and the annual audit process, ensuring all supporting documentation is provided. • Maintain and document internal controls related to financial reporting. • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on company reporting. • Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects as needed. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, public accounting, or corporate accounting. • Strong knowledge of US GAAP • Experience with consolidation and reporting systems (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle) is a plus. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
