Scion Legal Staffing is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a prestigious plaintiffs' litigation firm renowned for its expertise in complex employment and class action litigation. LEGAL OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
This is an exciting position for an attorney with 5 to 10 years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience, particularly in wage and hour class actions. You will take an essential role in litigating complex employment matters from inception to resolution, including class and representative actions involving wage and hour violations.
The successful candidate will enjoy navigating sophisticated litigation, collaborating on case strategies, and passionately representing employees in significant matters, all within a team-oriented environment that values initiative, excellence, and professional growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO • Manage complex wage and hour class action litigation from start to finish. • Draft and argue motions, including class certification and discovery-related motions. • Conduct depositions, manage written discovery, and oversee case strategy development. • Analyze payroll, timekeeping, and employment records to support litigation claims. • Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on strategies, investigations, and trial preparations. • Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations. • Prepare cases for trial and support trial proceedings as needed. • Maintain strong communication with clients and advocate effectively on behalf of employees. • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performing litigation environment.
WHAT YOU BRING • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. • Active California Bar license in good standing. • 5 to 10 years of employment litigation experience with a focus on wage and hour class actions. • Experience handling plaintiff-side class action litigation matters. • Experience with PAGA claims is strongly preferred. • Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills. • Able to independently manage litigation responsibilities while effectively collaborating within a team. • Strong organizational and case management skills. • Trial preparation and deposition experience preferred.
