Pay: 20.50/hr
Hours: 3:30pm - 4am (4 10's)
OT: Occasionally on Saturday or Sunday
Staffing Inc is partnering with a growing manufacturing company to hire a Material Handler. This position is responsible for supporting production operations by coordinating materials for production runs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate work areas in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Review production schedules and determine material requirements for upcoming jobs
• Create inventory picks and gather materials needed for production runs
• Utilize RF scanners to accurately pick, move, and track inventory
• Pull materials from warehouse storage locations using forklifts, carts, and other material handling equipment
• Verify lot numbers and material requirements to ensure accurate inventory selection
• Update production schedule boards to communicate job status, material shortages, and setup completion
• Process returned materials and accurately return inventory to stock using RF scanning systems
• Enter material consumption data and production outputs into Business Central software
• Move completed products to designated warehouse locations
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling, cycle counts, and inventory audits
• Support monthly inventory counts and reconciliation activities
• Assist with minimizing production downtime by ensuring materials are available when needed
• Maintain clean and organized production and warehouse areas
• Move materials, skids, and finished products throughout the facility as required
• Assist Shipping, Receiving, Inspection, and other departments as needed
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment preferred
• Experience using RF scanners and inventory management systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP systems, including Business Central
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and support multiple departments as needed
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to production areas
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material movement throughout the shift
• Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds
• Ability to use hands, tools, equipment, and machinery as required
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated by company policy
