Location: DeVos Place Performance Hall & Convention Center

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are hiring dependable second and third shift Custodial Workers to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during and after events at DeVos Place Performance Hall & Convention Center. This is a temporary, part-time position with a flexible schedule based on the facility's event calendar. Employees must be available to work second and third shifts, as most work is performed during and after events.

Schedule

● Temporary, part-time position

● Up to 40 hours per week

● Weekly schedule varies based on the event calendar

● Hours are not guaranteed

● Second and third shift availability is required

● Shifts are available on a first-come, first-served basis

● Employees are responsible for claiming their own shifts through the scheduling app

Pay

● $16.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Empty trash and replace liners

● Clean and sanitize restrooms

● Refill soap dispensers and paper towel dispensers

● Mop floors

● Vacuum carpets and rugs

● Dust surfaces

● Wipe walls and high-touch areas

● Monitor assigned areas during events

● Pick up trash and debris throughout the facility

● Clean up spills promptly

● Unclog toilets as needed

● Clean and restore the Performance Hall after shows

● Sanitize and refresh event rooms and public spaces

● Perform general custodial duties as assigned

Qualifications

Applicants must:

● Be at least 18 years of age

● Have reliable transportation

● Have a valid government-issued photo ID

● Be able to pass a background check

● Be dependable and punctual

● Be able to work second and third shifts

● Be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift

● Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on the event schedule

This is a temporary, part-time position. Work schedules change weekly based on the event calendar.

Employees select their own shifts through the scheduling app, and shifts are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Weekly hours vary and are not guaranteed.
